World Land Trust (WLT) is an international nature conservation organization that aims to preserve the most biologically significant and endangered habitats around the world. As a partner of WLT, we have taken part in the preservation of the Colombian Chocó rainforest, the cloud forests in the Andies and the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador.
We fund the rainforest preservation through the sales of our modular green wall. With every green wall square meter sold, we can protect approximately 1 000 square meters of tropical forest. To this day, our donations to WLT have helped preserve over 1 million square meters of rainforest and other tropical forest. 459 340 m2 of these forests are in Colombia and 497 900 m2 in Ecuador. At this time our donations are directed to Sierra Gordo Biosphere conservation area in Mexico and in Argentina to the work on behalf of the Yungas forest.
Green values and responsibility have guided InnoGreen’s operations and product development from the beginning. We want to lead the field of greenery business forwards and create products that also make an impact in the society. An ecological way of thinking is important to us, both in our practices and in products. In addition, being responsible as a business can be seen in our passion to preserve nature.
With a worldwide partner network, WLT funds and provides a permanent haven for endangered habitats and wild animals. To this day 3075 km2 of tropical forest and other endangered habitats are preserved by the World Land Trust organization and its partners.
“World Land Trust has cooperated with InnoGreen since 2011 and we are very grateful for their long standing support. With the help of InnoGreen we have salvaged over 1 million square meters of endangered tropical forests in Colombia, Ecuador and Argentina”, explains Dan Bradbury, Director of Communications and Development, World Land Trust.
This year we are celebrating our 30-year long journey. In honor of our year of celebration we will publish a blog series that contains six posts. In these posts we will tell you more about our philosophy, our values and about our passion for all things green. In the next post we will tell more about the creation of our modular green wall and how we continue to develop it.
