We turned the Central Square of Tampere into a blooming summer oasis. The city wanted to fill the area with cafes, restaurants and blooming plants to create a pleasant place for the residents to enjoy the beautiful summer days. The floral splendor also spread from the Central Square to nearby streets.
We chose a variety of plants and planter boxes for the square. Many types of colorful summer flowers were combined with an array of green plants. To add more dimension and interesting details to the space we used plants of different sizes and utilized some existing features of the square. For instance, we covered the lamp posts with plants.
