Swing House

The WELL-certified Swing House is a brand new office building located in Keilaniemi, Espoo, Finland. Its communal spaces, inviting interior design, and natural surroundings offer inspiring five-star office facilities. In order to maintain the building's style, a striking greenery concept was desired for the soaring staircase. The idea of a rainwater-utilizing vertical garden was born, stretching from the ground floor all the way up to the top floor, providing captivating and inspiring views for those using the staircase on each level. The building's exterior surfaces feature corten steel, and the plants were decided to be planted in corten steel pots, to continue the same style from outside to inside. Rainwater falling on the roof is directed into tanks, from which the plant basins are irrigated through timed piping systems. This way the rainwater is utilized by the plants, and the remarkable greenery also contributes to environmental conservation as it grows lusher. The overall result is a successful integration that respects the building's green values.
