Scandic Hub has turned an old print house into an urban hotel with its loft-like rooms and coworking spaces. We had the honor to design the greenery to this atmospheric building from the 1920s.
The greenery greets the visitor already at the entrance and decorates the gorgeous terrace in the courtyard. In the outside area there are beautiful plantings, consisting of different weather-tolerant conifer plants. Voluminous green interior extends to the interior of the building as well and adds the final touch to coworking spaces and the restaurant world with a partly glass covered roof. Dashing strelitzias and versatile arrangements of green plants are true eye catchers in the space.
Green plants don’t only add comfort in the hotel and working environment, but also there are plenty of other positive effects. In the old building, for example, the green interior improves the acoustics of the space. In addition, plants have been shown to boost our mood, calm us and make us more relaxed. Contact with nature lowers stress levels as well as decreases blood pressure, which makes a well thought green interior a perfect match for a relaxing environment.
