Instead of small pots, nature's own magnificence was desired for the central library Oodi. We delivered a total of 9 pieces of Bucida bucera as well as two green walls to Oodi. One was placed in the meditation space and the other in the staff space. Bucida buceras, originating in Central America, was selected for its delicate and small leaves and its slender trunk. The trees are lush and large without being heavy or too covering.
Bringing Bucida buceras to Oodi was a bold and demanding project, because transporting and planting large trees requires careful planning and caution. The trees were brought in front of Oodi by trucks, from where they were lifted in through the window on the third floor by a crane. The trees were planted in their massive pots on site.
