The Chico's restaurants asked for a modern look and greenery while at the same time respecting the restaurant environment. As an environment, the restaurant brings its own unique challenges to designing the green interior. When choosing plants, one should consider the small amount of light in the space, the limited maintenance possibilities of the plants, and the changing customer base. The space welcomes people of different ages as well as people with allergies.
For the final realization, both real and silk plants were chosen. Caring for the real plants at Chico's located in the Sello shopping center requires the help of a professional, as the planter boxes customized for the space are small: while the greenery creates atmosphere, the petite boxes leave room for sitting comfortably at the table. Positioning the silk plants is a little more carefree, because there is no need for special maintenance. The end result in the restaurants has been impressive and has significantly increased comfort and atmosphere. There is plenty of greenery and at Jumbo's Chico's, the customers were also given a chance to guess the number of plants found in the restaurant.
