InnoGreen’s green walls are a stunning sight, but did you know they also benefit the world beyond your premises? By choosing an InnoGreen green wall, you’re supporting the preservation of global biodiversity. In partnership with the World Land Trust, we help protect the world’s rainforests, which are some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet.
What is the World Land Trust?
The World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation organization founded in 1989. Its mission is to protect the world’s most valuable natural areas by purchasing and safeguarding them in collaboration with local partners. Through WLT’s efforts, millions of hectares of rainforest and other critical habitats have been successfully conserved around the world.
WLT’s work goes beyond simply purchasing land. The organization works closely with local communities to ensure that protected areas remain secure in the long term. This approach combines environmental protection with sustainable development, benefiting both nature and local residents.
Our partnership with the World Land Trust provides InnoGreen with a concrete way to contribute to rainforest conservation. This collaboration began back in 2010 and continues to this day. For every square meter of green wall we sell, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to WLT, meaning our customers are directly involved in safeguarding vital rainforests. One square meter of sold or rented green wall helps protect 1,000 square meters of rainforest.
By 2024, together with our customers, we had protected an impressive 2,000,000 square meters of rainforest – and the number keeps growing!

Why is Rainforest Protection Important?
Rainforests are the lungs of our planet. They absorb vast amounts of carbon dioxide and produce oxygen essential for life. Additionally, rainforests are home to over 50 percent of all known species. Without these ecosystems, we risk not only the loss of biodiversity but also our ability to combat climate change and ensure clean living conditions for future generations.
The Circular Green Wall, piloted during summer 2025, utilizes deconstructed facade panels and soil rescued from construction sites.
How to choose green interior solutions and plant care more sustainably? At first glance, choosing indoor greenery might seem straightforward. Which plants should we pick, and where should we place them? And where can we get them at the lowest cost? A low price can be tempting, and comparing quotes is always worthwhile. But when an interior green solution is viewed as a long-term investment, the cheapest option can quickly generate unexpected costs. Here’s what truly goes into the price of high-quality, sustainable green interiors.
In the spring of 2025, Finland’s largest outdoor green wall was completed on the façade of Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt’s property in Turku. The 16-meter-high vertical garden is the first in the country to utilize stormwater for irrigation. It has attracted attention for both its impressive scale and innovative technology. But how are the wall, its plants, and its irrigation system doing after their first growing season?
