Feel the jungle – case HopLop Vantaa

GREEN INTERIOR DESIGN

In HopLop, a sporty indoors playground for families, green decor has to be sustainable, movable and it needs volume. In this long-term partnership we plan the ensemble together - palm trees, ceiling panels and silk plant panels. There can be plenty of greenery, but the plants must not be an obstacle to play. The goal is to create the feeling of a jungle indoors. HopLop Vantaa was renewed this autumn and we also wanted to consider adults and the joy of doing things together in the design.

Silk plants are a natural choice for HopLop because they endure the wild environment without the need to be handled carefully. Silk plants can easily be detached, washed and moved from one place to another.

Instead of permanent elements we tend to create silk plant concepts. Different kinds of big elements like banana oases are eye-catching and also hide the structures of the indoor playground. In the middle of the jungle it is easy to set off on an imaginary journey.

Plant ensembles shape the space, increase the cosiness and are functional. The placement of the plants directs the course and sets the rhythm for playing without the need for signs.
